![]() Hurdy-gurdy, connecting rod-crank, valve, piston, organ pipes, blower, spring, drum... All of the above are actors of the Concertomatique! An atypical orchestra is offered here to the listening-spectator. Eleven musical machines of great size (from 2 to 6 meters) play the great sets of a traditional orchestra: wind, cord, percussion. This nonconventional instrumentarium makes us quiver with pleasure with its vast repertory which passes with ease from baroque to ultra-contemporary styles . And there, everything becomes animated, become alive, lights-up, creates sound, whirls, strikes, tinkles... Better, the machines enable us to enter into their dance. By the means of an interface (keyboard, microphone, Musical Camera), the listening-spectator becomes a composer.
Concertomatique n°2 was presented many times in Europe and in Japan including: Le Palais de la Découverte in Paris, le Théâtre d'Ivry in Paris, Ausstellungszentrum amn Alexanderplatz in Berlin, tla Chapelle de la Sorbonne in Paris, the F.A.U.S.T. of Toulouse, Musique en Scène in Lyon, ARTEC, Nagoya (Japan), the EXIT festival in Créteil, the VIA Festival in Maubeuge, Jours de Fête Festival in Calais, 1x1 Soir in Ath (Belgium), at the Theatre of the Agora in Evry |
